The story of Dayzoff begins in 2007, when the founder’s father helped him purchase his very first camera — a Nikon D40x. It was a shared effort, the result of months of saving, and a gift for Year 11 photography class. That class would spark a lifelong passion and offer his first real glimpse into the world of photography.
Soon after, he began working in a photographic store, guided by an incredible manager who offered deep insight into the business side of the craft. From sales and service to film development, scanning, and print production, he was exposed to every corner of the photographic process. Whether it was working with negatives, creating large format canvases, or helping customers bring their images to life, this experience allowed passion and career to flourish side by side.
Outside the classroom, his love for skateboarding played a major role in shaping his eye. Skate magazines, filled with dynamic images captured on fisheye lenses and various focal lengths, became a rich source of inspiration, the camera never left his side. He began documenting skateboarding adventures with friends, sharing gear and stories along the way. It was in those moments that he realised just how deeply connected skateboarding and photography truly were — both rooted in timing, flow, and creative expression.
As life unfolded, photography remained a constant thread. When he met his wife, it became a shared passion between them — a way to express themselves and document their life together. From early travels to the arrival of their first and second child, the camera quietly recorded it all.
Photography also found its place in his professional life. Building a business required a deep understanding of product photography, sharpening his skills even further. Over the years, he experimented with various camera systems, ultimately choosing Leica as his tool of choice — a brand that reflects the timeless and intentional nature of his work.
Today, he continues to shoot with the same curiosity and reverence that started it all. Each image is offered in limited runs of just 50 prints — signed, numbered, and never reprinted once sold out. At Dayzoff, exclusivity isn’t a gimmick — it’s a promise. Every print is created with care and made to elevate the spaces it lives in.
